PHRIXOS '07 is the annual technical symposium conducted by the ECE guys 'n' gals of St. Peter's Engineering College, Chennai. Call it yet another technical symposium, or as we like to call it "controlled chaos", it is the place for budding engineers all over the state (err... country :) to meet, share their ideas and win prizes, or just get O. D. for the day. Whatever it may be, you are sure to have a good time. Looking forward to seeing you all...

The Events

Phrixos '07 was born out of a deep desire to imbue far and wide the spirit of engineering. We earnestly believe that learning can be made fun, and have accordingly conceived a slew of events guaranteed to satisfy the ardent techie, alongwith a myriad of fun-filled activities to squeeze out those creative juices! Here, in brief, are the events:

Paper Presentation

Talk symposium, and the event that comes to our mind is the paper presentation. Papers are a lot like people... can be long-winded and boring, or charming and creative, full of the latest fundas. Be that it as it may, PHRIXOS'07 is sure to showcase some of the best and brightest papers from all over the country.

Lets quickly run through the rules for presenting your paper:

1) IEEE format with minimum 2 authors per paper

2) Topic can be any innovative/ latest technology

3) Maximum of 15 pages allowed

4) Use minimum pictures, flowcharts and block diagrams will be given more preference

5) Soft copy to be sent by mail before 15^th September

6) Selected participants will be intimated on 17^th September by mail

7) Please bring two hard copies along with a PowerPoint presentation for the finals

Project Presentation

Electronics engineers are generally gadget freaks... our ability to mold silicon and wire into the most amazing things - robots or game-bots, embedded systems, security gadgets, or simply anything that makes our lives simpler and safer makes us stand apart. In this event, we pay homage to these brilliant gadgeteers and their creations. Points to note:

1) Maximum of 4 authors per project

2) Abstract of project & the components used should be mailed on or before 14^th September

3) Subject of mail sent should be mentioned as “PROJECT” along with the group name

4) Selected projects will be intimated on or before 17^th September

5) Selected participants should send confirmation mail on or before 18^th September

6) In the confirmation mail participants must specify the components that they require from us (subject to availability)

7) The participants must bring a complete project report on the day of the event
